The Joy of Diwali – Share the happiness!

The festive season of Diwali or Deepavali just around the corner and all Malaysian are excited to be a part in this colourful celebration of lights ! Here are 5 things you could do to get yourself in the mood.

1. Visit the ‘Little India’

Ask for anything and you shall have it at Malaysia’s Little India in Brickfields. In the heart of Kuala Lumpur,  it is located just beside KL Sentral. Famous for it’s cultural uniqueness, the locals and tourists are loving this place. Who wouldn’t right? It’s a shopping heaven for colourful sarees, glamorous accessories and the scrumptious desserts that we all have been craving for. During the night, the decorations lighten up the street along with roaring songs to get you excited.

2. What to wear?

The first thing in your list is the must have saree for women and suit for men. Don’t be shy to groom yourself with the colourful and glamorous look like the Bollywood stars did. This would definitely be a great collection for your wardrobe.

3. Learn to make Dosa

Get the recipes from YouTube or you ask your friend a favor to learn make dosa. Dosa is a must have for Diwali/Deepavali. A crepe made of mixture of rice batter with coconut chutney and simple rassam.

4. Have some Murukku & Ladoo

Of course, no Diwali/Deepavali be complete if you haven’t tried murukku and ladoo. The savoury and sweet delicacies is very addictive and the kids love it too.
